Observer’s Distance presents a quiet yet unsettling encounter between a lone figure and an unfamiliar organic form. A vase-like structure filled with flowers resembling observing eyes dominates the composition, while the distant human presence remains isolated and passive.
Elijah Rowan combines detailed ink drawing with surreal symbolism to explore themes of observation, vulnerability and psychological distance. The work creates an atmosphere of stillness where the viewer is invited to question who is observing whom.
