Contained Pressure is a sculptural exploration of tension, accumulation and transformation. Constructed from layered textile, resin, pigment and an internal steel armature, the work presents a compressed form that appears simultaneously fragile and resilient.
The folded structure suggests the weight of memory and experience, while the expressive splashes of pigment and flowing drips reveal the physical actions involved in its creation. Rather than representing a specific figure or object, the sculpture exists as an emotional landscape shaped by pressure, resistance and change.
Luca Moretti’s practice investigates how materials can carry traces of human experience. Through repetition, compression and surface intervention, he transforms familiar materials into forms that feel both organic and architectural. The resulting work balances control and unpredictability, structure and collapse.
Contained Pressure invites viewers to reflect on the unseen forces that shape identity and perception. The sculpture functions both as a physical object and as a record of process, preserving the gestures, decisions and transformations that occurred during its making.
As a unique original artwork, Contained Pressure embodies Moretti’s ongoing exploration of material abstraction and the relationship between memory, form and human presence.
